Intel Sandy Bridge-E may be a duo this time, having only two processors (the Core i7-3960X and i7-3930K hexa-cores) to choose from, but early next year it will turn into a trio through the release of the Core i7-3820. This new model is the cheapest in the Sandy Bridge-E family and has begun to become available for pre-order around the world.

ASUS Dual-Socket LGA2011 Motherboard Pictured

At CES, ASUS showed off its latest workstation motherboard designed for 2P socket LGA2011 Sandy Bridge-EP eight-core processors, the Z9PE-D8-WS. By the looks of it, it might not be having the voltage-delivery muscle of EVGA's SR3, but it is filled to the brim with connectivity. Each socket is powered by a 14-phase Digi+ II VRM, there are numerous other power domains. The board draws power from a 24-pin ATX connector, two 8-pin EPS connectors, and a 4-pin Molex.

Intel Pentium G620 Processor Review
The Intel Pentium G620 one of the desktop processors in the Sandy Bridge line of processors, that will launch in second quarter of 2011. While the G620T is the low power 35 Watt processor, the G620 is 65 Watts TDP part and has obviously higher clock frequency. Here are some of the scant information available about the Intel G620

This should simplify the motherboard design and help reduce the overall motherboard and system cost in long run.
