Try not to mistake this for a low-profile CPU cooler, Alpenföhn's latest offering is the Heidi 2 universal graphics card cooler. First pictured at this year's CeBIT event, the Heidi 2 looks more polished and ready to market. Its main heatsink consists of an aluminum fin array to which heat is conveyed by four 6 mm thick nickel-plated copper heat pipes. The 50-odd aluminum fins make for distinct shapes at the edge of the fin array, which improve heat dissipation. The heat pipes converge at a nickel-plated copper base.
The main heatsink measures 144 x 133 x 62 mm, weighing 450 g. Ventilation is care of a 120 mm Alpenföhn WingBoost fan. A large number of GPUs are supported, including AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6850, HD 6870, HD 5870, HD 5850, HD 5770, HD 5750, HD 5670, HD 4870, HD 4860, HD 4850, HD 4830, HD 4750, HD 4670, HD 4650, HD 3870, HD 3850, HD 3690, HD 3650, HD 3450, HD 2600, X1900; and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, GTX 200 series, GTX 250, GT 240, GT 220, GT 210, 9800 GTX+/GTX/GT, 9600 GT, 8800 GT/ GTS(G92), 8600, 8500, 8400, 7900 GTX/GT/GS, 7800 GTX/GT, 7600, 7400, 7300, 6600.
